Battle OF Bands

Better off with your group? No worries! IMO brings to you their versions of Battle of the Bands! All the aspiring musicians from all over the country and beyond, this is your chance to perform with your bands! The competition will be judged on the synchronization of the music presented by the team and will be judged as a whole. It is based on two initial rounds, where a total of 20 bands, of 3-8 members each, will battle it out for the final phase. The finale, which will take place on the closing day will decide who walks away with the 40,000 PKR cash prize and the tag of the BEST BAND IN TOWN!

Rules:

• All bands must contain a minimum of two (2) members.
• All bands must bring their own instruments.
• Band name and lyrics of performance songs must not contain any obscenities. Judges will deduct points for any use of obscenities.
• The use of any illegal substances will not be tolerated. If any band member is suspected
• to be under the influence of an illegal substance, the entire band will be disqualified and the proper authorities will be notified.
• All participants are required to be courteous and respectful toward other participating musicians.
• Bands may not use any pre-recorded sound material. All bands must play live.
• 50% of the Score shall be determined by Audience Vote.
• Each band will be allocated 15 minutes which includes sound check, setting up their instruments and performance time. Exceeding time limit shall result in deduction of marks.

Details

Day 1 - Round 1
Day: 11th April
Time: 5.00 pm - 8.00 pm

 * Each team will perform for 6-8 minutes.
 * Top 4 teams will qualify for the finals.
 * Announcement of qualifiers.

Day 2 - Finale
Day: 12th April
Time: 5.00pm - 8.00pm

* 4 teams will perform in the finale.
* Each team will perform for 7-9 minutes.
* The winner will be determined by the general response of the audience and the decision of judges.
*Announcement of winner.

Note: Bands are encouraged to bring their FANS and FRIENDS to the event as 50% of the score will be determined by audience vote in each round.
